To ensure a secure and well-organized living environment, the following guidelines for Domestic helps working in the Society are to be strictly followed by all residents:
1. Registration of Domestic helps:
Residents must register the details of their Domestic helps with the Society office, including their name, photo, and contact details.
Police verification of Domestic helps is mandatory and must be submitted to the Society office before they start working.

2. Entry and Exit:
All Domestic helps must record their entry and exit at the main gate daily.
Residents are advised to ensure that their Domestic helps cooperate with the security guards in this process.
Security reserves the right to deny entry to Domestic helps who fail to follow these protocols.
3. Identification:
Domestic helps must carry a valid Society-issued ID card or badge at all times while working in the premises.
Residents must ensure that the ID card is renewed as required.
All Domestic staff to obtain their lanyard ID cards from the Control Room at the earliest. A minimal charge of INR 40 will be applicable for each lanyard ID card. The Control Room will be responsible for issuing and maintaining records of these cards.
In Case of Lost Card, Replacement Lanyard ID card will be issued at INR 100.
4. Domestic helps Residing in Flats:
Any domestic help staying 24/7 in a flat must be registered with the Society office.
The owner of the flat must seek prior permission from the Society's management before allowing a domestic help to reside full-time.
The domestic helps details, including police verification, must be updated in the Society Control Room Records.
5. Behaviour and Decorum:
Domestic helps are expected to maintain proper behaviour within the Society premises.
Any incidents of misconduct or improper behaviour should be reported to the Control Room/Estate office immediately for appropriate action.
6. Restricted Areas:
Domestic helps are not permitted to loiter in common areas, such as corridors, staircases, or the parking lot, after completing their work.
They must leave the premises immediately after completing their duties unless staying in a flat with permission.
7. Work Timings:
Residents are requested to define and communicate working hours for their Domestic helps.
Domestic helps should not be allowed to enter or remain in the Society premises beyond these timings without prior permission
8. Handling of Keys:
Residents are strongly advised not to hand over their flat keys to Domestic helps or allow them access to sensitive areas without supervision.
The Society will not be responsible for any incidents arising from such practices.
9. Financial Transactions:
If any resident household choose to provide an advance or loan to their domestic help, please ensure that a clear and detailed written agreement is in place, outlining the terms of repayment. Any financial transactions with domestic staff are undertaken at residents own risk. Try to avoid giving large sums of money as advances or loans. Individual financial arrangements fall outside our purview of Security Office/Estate Office/ RWA
10. Hygiene Standards:
Residents must ensure that Domestic helps maintain proper personal hygiene while working.
Any maid showing signs of illness or unhygienic behaviour should be replaced or temporarily suspended from work.
11. Reporting Issues:
Residents should promptly report any suspicious activity or concerns regarding Domestic helps to the Society office or security personnel.
12. Termination and Updates:
If a maid’s services are terminated, residents must immediately inform the Society office to update records and restrict their access to respective tower or the society main gate by Deactivating his/her ID card.
Similarly, hiring a new maid requires updating records and submitting the required documentation.
Policy on False Allegations:
If an accusation is found to be malicious or demonstrably false through inquiry or legal proceedings:
A. Action Against the Accuser (if Domestic Staff):
Immediate suspension or blacklisting from working in the society.
Intimation to other societies in the vicinity (through a local RWA Federation).
Filing a police complaint under IPC Sections 182, 211, or 499 (as applicable).
Revocation of access to society premises.
B. Action Against the Accuser (if Resident):
Warning or show-cause notice.
If proven to have harassed a domestic worker falsely accusing someone else, penalties as per society bye-laws.
Procedure in case of a Molestation Allegation:
The Estate Office shall:
Record the complaint and forward it to local police (basis seriousness).
Collect statements from both parties and potential witnesses.
Access CCTV footage (if available).
Recommend interim measures (suspension from duties, restraining orders, etc.) pending investigation.
Support for the Falsely Accused
RWA shall offer assistance in filing a police counter-complaint.
Legal aid options shall be shared.
Confidentiality of the individual’s identity to be maintained during the inquiry
These guidelines are designed to promote security, transparency, and harmony within the Society.
